About Our Shelter

Our mission is to help end the euthanasia of companion animals in Wyoming through collaboration, education, and compassion.  These animals will be cared for until they are reclaimed by their owners or until adopted to qualified homes.

We offer low cost Vaccinations, Microchipping, City Tags, Spaying & Neutering, Trap-Neuter-Return Program and our Loan Closet to all Johnson County residents. Call us today at (307) 684-1738 if you have any questions or would like to be added to our vet’s schedule.

Services

What We Do

Low Cost Vaccinations

Vaccinating your pet is essential for protecting them against diseases, some of which can be fatal.

City Licensing

If residing within the city limits of Buffalo, all dogs must have a City License Tag.

Spay & Neuter

Spaying/neutering is an essential part of responsible pet ownership.  Ending the cycle of uncontrolled breeding will lead to less animals killed at shelters each year due to overcrowding.

Microchipping

Microchipping your pet is vital to reuniting lost animals with their owners! Microchips are $20 each.

Donate Today!

Please consider making a donation to St. Francis Animal Shelter. Because our operating expenses are considerably greater than our income, we need your help! Any amount you can give goes directly to the feeding and care of hundreds of animals in need. Partner with us as we work together to protect Johnson County’s animals in need.

It costs $20.68 to care for one pet for one day.  Share some love and donate today.

Adopt & Foster

There is a lot to consider before adopting a new family member and we can help find the perfect pet for you. All our animals receive thorough health assessments before they are ready for rehoming. This includes microchipping, vaccinations, and spaying/neutering.
