Oh no! Whisper’s run away! Can you help us find Whisper the Great Grey Cat? He is a neutered male. Just over 1 year old. He had a blue collar with a bell on when he ran off. He’s grey with yellow eyes. He scooted out the door just before that lightning and rain started the other night. One neighbor may have seen him since then…so fingers are crossed. He was last seen Southwest of the Post Office in Buffalo, WY. Please help us find him? Please call Greg (307-684-7398) if you see Whisper. It is very possible somebody has taken him in, so please also share this post, especially if you know somebody in the area.

Hello! What’s this? We seem to be missing many of our cat carriers. We’ve lent several out and haven’t seen them returned. Could you all check your closets, garages and laundry rooms? If you’ve borrowed a carrier/kennel from SFAS it means you probably adopted a cat from us and we are so grateful! We also need to ask for the carriers back so we can keep more cats safe. Please pass it on. Thanks so much!
Layla was adopted to a very loving home. She’s a very timid and gentle female doberman mix. She’s had a heck of a two months. Anyway, she took off and stopped a few times when her owner called, but thing got a little scary and the owner lost sight of her. She was running north from Ranchester when last seen. This post will be updated on our website as we learn more. Please call SFAS (307-684-1738) or, I suppose, the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office (307-672-3455) if you see this pooch. You can also phone Kathy at (307) 752-4106.
Layla is micro chipped.
Update: Layla was last seen heading south, about 2 miles from the MT/WY state line near Six Mile Creek. This was late evening on Tuesday, Aug. 16. She was on the NE side of the interstate.
Layla has shown zero aggression towards barnyard animals, quails, etc. Hopefully her hunger will lure her back to people, but being so skittish and fast, she’s a hard one to catch. She may be attracted to other dogs.
One of our Johnson County neighbors phoned today looking for her male corgi named Buddha. He lives about 20 miles south of Buffalo off of the old highway. Buddha is shedding in a big way so he looks pretty scruffy but he’s loved and missed. He has been missing since yesterday. If you see him or know of anything that can help us return him to his owner, please give the SFAS a call or send us a note.
The following arrived via email today.

“Angel” the elderly siamese cat went missing last Tuesday (June 5, 2016) from her North Burritt home. Angel has been an indoor cat her whole life and wasn’t wearing any collar, harness or identification. We don’t have a photograph, but she’s a typical siamese. Angel has been taking daily medication. She’s “really skinny” and we hope to find her or at least find out what’s happened to her. Please phone the St. Francis Animal Shelter at 307-684-1738 or leave us a note on our website.
Maybe it was all the Longmire Days activity? Who knows? But “Effie” is missing. The last time she was seen was Saturday afternoon (July 9th). She was seen on High Street in Buffalo. Effie is a black cat with white chin and chest and four white paws. If you’ve seen the cat, or can help spread the word, the owner needs help finding her cat. Please call SFAS at 307-684-1738 or send us a note on our website.
