Call St. Francis today at 307-684-1738 and get your dog or cat scheduled for our 1st Spay/Neuter Clinic of 2018. Spay/Neuter Clinic with be held February 22, 2018.
Male Cat: $40.00
Female Cat: $60.00
Male Dog: $80.00
Female Dog: $100.00
Weight does not matter
If you live in Johnson County ask about extra savings; must show proof of residence.
The schedule will fill up fast, so don’t hesitate!
Bring your animals between 8:00-8:30 a.m.
and pick them up between 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Low cost shots also available, as well as Microchipping for $20.00 for the 1st pet and $15.00 for the 2nd.
If everyone does their part, we can all reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats in shelters.

Got Shoes?

No one likes asking people for money! So we aren’t!!

WE WANT YOUR SHOES!! (New or gently used, please)

We are collecting new or gently used shoes to earn money for the shelter animals. The shoes will be sent to third world countries where they will be put to good use!

Drop-off boxes at IGA, DJ’S, Prescription Shop, Shopko, the Chamber of Commerce in Buffalo, and Muddy Paw Prints in Sheridan. With more locations to come.

Reminder: Vaccination Clinic and Fund-Raiser

Just a friendly reminder from your friends at the St. Francis Animal shelter about the low-cost vaccination clinic and BBQ fundraiser and book signing at the Shelter on June 25, 2016. Saturday! Clinic and Gail Irwin from 10am to 1pm (estimated) and BBQ lunch from 11am to 1pm.

Stop by, support your pets. Support the shelter. Visit with other pet-lovers. Help us help the animals in the community that might otherwise go without a loving home.

Vaccination Clinic and BBQ

On Saturday, June 25th, 2016 come on down/over/up to the St. Francis Animal Shelter to vaccinate your dogs and cats.

And get some lunch!

The vaccination clinic will take place between 10 am and 1 pm. Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella vaccines will be available. You can also get a microchip for your animals and even a city license and tag. See our fees here.

Also, the Shelter is holding an annual summer BBQ lunch from 11 am to 1 pm.

$5.00 will get you a plate of yums (as well as a drink and chips).

Spay-Neuter Clinic in May

Another month, another schedule. The St. Francis Animal Shelter will be hosting a Spay/Neuter clinic on May 19, 2016.

Space is limited, please call to get on the list.


We ask that you withhold food starting 8pm the night prior to the clinic, drop your animal(s) off between 8 and 9am the day of the clinic and plan to pick them up between 4 and 5pm the day of the clinic. As a part of this service we can also offer various vaccinations and microchipping.

All our fees can be found on our Fees and Prices page. But of particular interest for this clinic are the following:

Spay/Neuter Clinic

Cat Neuter (Male): $30.00
Cat Spay (Female): $60.00
Dog Neuter (Male): $70.00
Dog Spay (Female): $90.00


Rabies: $10.00 (mandatory for dogs in Buffalo City limits)
DH2PP: $10.00 (for dogs)
Felo-4: $10.00 (for cats)
Nemex: $5.00 (for dogs and cats)
Bordetella: $10.00 (for dogs)

First Chip: $20.00
Each Chip After: $15.00

Johnson County residents can purchase Spay/Neuter Certificates. Clinic prices for Johnson County residents more closely resemble the prices of the S/N Certificates. You can see those fees by clicking here.

Rabies Vaccination Clinic

Hear ye, hear ye!

Where: Community Building at Johnson County Fairgrounds

When: Saturday, January 16, 2016

9:00 AM to Noon Big Horn Veterinarian Hospital (Dr. Ashley Carr)

12:30 PM to 2:30 PM Buffalo Veterinarian Clinic (Dr. Teresa Bessler)

Veterinarians will vaccinate dogs and cats for Rabies Only and the cost will be discounted to $10.00 per animal (Saturday only). City dog license required by City Ordinance. You can buy one during the Clinic! Licenses cost $10 for spayed/neutered dogs or $20 for unaltered dogs. You’ll need proof of rabies vaccination to obtain a license. City dog licenses are valid for two years from date of issue. Personalized tags will also be available for purchase at the Rabies Clinic and at St. Francis Animal Shelter during normal operating hours.

The St. Francis Animal Shelter will be at the clinic to make the tags, sell the city dog licenses and to MICROCHIP your pets. The chip fee is discounted 50% to $10 per chip for this one day only.

Note: All Dogs and Cats Must Be on a Leash or in a Kennel or Carrier.
